《秋日》Autumn Sun

秋阳九月如春日，
蓼岸游人兴致酣。
桐叶渐疏荷叶老，
蝉声落处鸟声喧。
路旁学子丹青秀，
亭畔桑榆唱曲欢。
最是香城风景好，
别来只向梦中看。

Autumn Sun in September as Spring Day
Along the smartweed-covered shore, visitors revel in delight.
The paulownia leaves thin, lotus leaves age,
Where cicada songs fade, bird calls grow lively.

Beside the road, students sketch vibrant scenes,
By the pavilion, elders sing songs with joy.
The most charming sights of this fragrant town—
Since parting, I’ve seen it only in dreams.
