The morning light filtered through the trees, casting speckled shadows across the porch. I sat outside reading, the wind flipping the pages softly—along with a quiet moment. Suddenly, a pair of arms wrapped around me from behind. It was my sister.
I wander along a small path known as the “Poet’s Walk,” lined with lush grasses. Despite it being near my house, I have never been here before. Today, the winding, narrow path beneath my feet ushers me to explore the unknown. On the halfway, I see tall trees with sturdy trunks spreading wide. Vibrant wildflowers…
June brings a touch of sadness. I met new friends during the courses; we shared laughter and stories, building bonds that felt unbreakable at the time. But we parted ways when they ended, and most of us may never meet again. The scent of fresh-cut grass and the vibrant colors of summer blooms remind me…
(1) bright light lingers softly on her smiling face after long rains (2) Oysters on the ice, whispering salty secrets— I lick my lips back. (3) Neon on wet stone— a lobster’s wink in the glass, the tide of hunger.
