Poet’s Walk

I wander along a small path known as the “Poet’s Walk,” lined with lush grasses. Despite it being near my house, I have never been here before. Today, the winding, narrow path beneath my feet ushers me to explore the unknown.

On the halfway, I see tall trees with sturdy trunks spreading wide. Vibrant wildflowers scatter across the vast meadow, their petals trembling as a gentle breeze passes by. A small pond comes into view, with a family of turtles basking side by side on a dry branch in the water.

I pause for a while, carefully and quietly, so as not to disturb them. Then I leave and walk back, imagining if I, too, will be called a poet by those who walk this path after me.

Nature treads softly
in my heart, penning her verse
only my eyes see
